Bacopa vs. Lion’s Mane: comparing memory research fairly

Bacopa and Lion’s Mane are different ingredients with different preparations and study populations. Existing ingredient studies do not establish a universal winner for memory.
Memory is not one score
A trial may assess delayed word recall, a cognitive screening scale or another specific task. Those measurements cannot be collapsed into one interchangeable “memory improvement” number. Start with the named outcome before deciding what a result means.
Use the study context
The linked Bacopa study followed older adults for 12 weeks. The linked Lion’s Mane study examined a different preparation and population for 16 weeks. Comparing their headline findings directly would ignore those differences. Neither study tested Clarimind’s finished blend.
What the formula contains
Clarimind lists 300 mg Bacopa standardized to 50% total bacosides and 500 mg organic Lion’s Mane fruiting-body extract standardized to 30% beta-glucans. The percentages refer to different constituent groups. Fifty percent in one ingredient is not “stronger” than thirty percent in another.
Make a comparison that preserves the limits
For each study, record participants, preparation, dose, duration, outcome and comparison group. Keep those entries separate. If your aim is to address new or worsening memory difficulties, seek an assessment instead of using an ingredient comparison to select a treatment.
Quick answer
Did a trial compare Clarimind with Bacopa or Lion’s Mane alone?
No such trial is presented in our research library. The linked evidence concerns individual ingredients and preparations.
