Fruiting body · 30% beta-glucans
Our organic fruiting-body extract is standardized to 30% beta-glucans. Lion’s Mane is studied for cognitive function and memory; human findings remain mixed.*
Meet our Lion’s ManeA small 16-week study in adults with mild cognitive impairment used about 2.9 g of mushroom powder daily, a different dose and preparation from Clarimind. A 2025 acute study found no benefit for global cognition or mood.
2009 human study ↗2025 human study ↗
Extract · 50% total bacosides
Studied for learning and memory with consistent use. Some trials report improvements in selected memory tests; others find no cognitive benefit.*
Several trials assessed standardized extracts over 12 weeks. Clarimind matches the nominal 300 mg and 50% amounts in one older trial, but this does not establish an identical extract. A 2025 trial found no benefit on primary cognitive outcomes.
2008 human study ↗2025 human study ↗
A source of choline
Studied for attention and memory. One small trial found fewer attention-task errors after four weeks at 250 mg daily.*
The trial used branded Cognizin in women aged 40–60. Clarimind lists citicoline, which does not establish that the same branded ingredient or identical results apply. The study used one-tailed statistical tests.
2012 human study ↗
Root extract · 5% salidrosides
Explored for stress-related fatigue and attention under pressure. Findings vary with the extract, dose, and population.*
A 28-day study used 576 mg/day of SHR-5 in people with stress-related fatigue. A different trial in nursing students favored placebo for fatigue. Neither tested Clarimind’s 250 mg, 5% salidrosides preparation.
2009 human study ↗2014 human study ↗
Caffeine-free calm-focus ingredient
Studied for relaxation and responses to mental stress. Small human studies show some promising findings; effects are not consistent across outcomes.*
A 200 mg acute trial studied short-term laboratory stress. A four-week 200 mg study found some sleep-component improvements, but not a consistent advantage on overall stress or cognition. This does not establish all-day calm or a guaranteed immediate effect.

THE LION’S MANE WE CHOOSE
The details behind the mushroom matter. Our formula starts with organic Lion’s Mane fruiting-body extract, with its amount and beta-glucan standard clearly on the label.

beta-glucans
extract standardization
Our label identifies the Lion’s Mane as organic. It’s a specific ingredient choice you can see for yourself.
We use extract from the mushroom’s fruiting body—the spore-producing structure—so you know which part goes into the formula.
30% beta-glucans states the proportion of these polysaccharides in our Lion’s Mane extract. A concrete specification, alongside the 500 mg serving amount.
A fruiting body produces spores. Mycelium is the fungus’s network of fine threads; it is not a plant root. They are different fungal structures, and both can be used in supplements.
Clarimind specifies fruiting-body extract. That choice alone does not establish greater clinical effectiveness than other preparations.

THE FINDINGS BEHIND THE FORMULA
Fewer task errors. Faster responses. Better recall in selected studies. Explore the numbers behind the headlines—and what they mean.
Human ingredient studies. These are not clinical trials of Clarimind.
The 250 mg citicoline group averaged 2.70 commission errors versus 5.50 with placebo at day 28—a 51% difference between these group means.
The context: Women aged 40–60; small Cognizin trial; one-tailed analyses. This is an endpoint comparison, not a 51% improvement from baseline or in overall focus.
In Clarimind: 250 mg citicoline. Matching amounts do not establish ingredient equivalence or the same result.
Read McGlade et al., 2012 · Table 2 ↗The rounded difference is (5.50 − 2.70) ÷ 5.50 × 100 = 51%.
| Group | Mean | SE |
|---|---|---|
| Citicoline 250 mg | 2.70 | 0.77 |
| Placebo | 5.50 | 1.03 |
One hour after a 1,800 mg dose, the Lion’s Mane group’s average Stroop response time changed from 737.70 to 688.05 milliseconds.
The context: Ages 18–45. This chart shows change within the Lion’s Mane group, not a placebo-adjusted effect. Immediate word recall worsened; global cognition did not improve. A 2025 trial also found no overall cognition or mood benefit.
In Clarimind: 500 mg of a different preparation. This finding does not establish a one-hour effect for Clarimind.
Read Docherty et al., 2023 · Figure 4 ↗ See the contrasting 2025 trial ↗737.70 − 688.05 = 49.65 ms. Treatment × time interaction: p = 0.027; within-group comparison: p = 0.005. Multiple outcomes were examined.
| Time | Mean (ms) |
|---|---|
| Before dose | 737.70 |
| 60 minutes later | 688.05 |
Adjusted delayed-recall averages rose from 6.4 to 7.6 words over 12 weeks. Placebo averages moved from 6.8 to 6.9.
The context: Adults aged 65+. This within-group gain does not prove superiority over placebo. A larger 2025 trial found no benefit on its primary cognitive outcomes.
In Clarimind: 300 mg Bacopa, standardized to 50% total bacosides. Equal milligrams do not guarantee an identical extract.
Read Calabrese et al., 2008 · Table 1 ↗ See the larger 2025 trial ↗Bacopa: 7.6 − 6.4 = 1.2 words. Placebo: 6.9 − 6.8 = 0.1 words. These descriptive changes are not a tested between-group effect size.
| Group | Start | Week 6 | Week 12 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bacopa 300 mg | 6.4 | 6.6 | 7.6 |
| Placebo | 6.8 | 6.6 | 6.9 |
Every active ingredient has its own amount on the label. Three botanical extracts also state their standardization.
How to read this: These are label quantities, not independent test results. Milligrams measure amount, not how effective an ingredient is.
| Ingredient | Amount |
|---|---|
| Organic Lion’s Mane | 500 mg |
| Bacopa | 300 mg |
| Citicoline | 250 mg |
| Rhodiola | 250 mg |

L-THEANINE / SLEEP-RELATED MEASURES
In a small crossover trial, changes in three sleep-questionnaire components favored L-Theanine over placebo: time to fall asleep, sleep disturbance, and sleep-medication use.
Total sleep-quality change was not statistically significant versus placebo. Multiple outcomes were tested. Clarimind lists 200 mg; this is not a trial of the blend.
Hidese et al., 2019 · Table 2 ↗RHODIOLA / STRESS-RELATED FATIGUE
A placebo-controlled trial found improvements in fatigue and selected attention measures among adults with stress-related fatigue taking the SHR-5 extract.
Different extract, dose and population from Clarimind’s 250 mg ingredient. Evidence is mixed: a later nursing-student trial favored placebo on fatigue.
Olsson et al., 2009 ↗Read the contrasting 2014 trial ↗A promising ingredient finding is a reason to look closer. It does not establish the same result for this formula, dose, or person. Sources reviewed September 8, 2026.
THE RESEARCH TIMELINE
What have researchers observed after a day, a week, or a few months? Explore six milestones from human ingredient studies.
These are findings from separate studies with different doses and participants. They do not establish what will happen on each day of taking Clarimind.
A pilot trial found faster Stroop responses in the Lion’s Mane group one hour after dosing: an average of 737.70 to 688.05 milliseconds.
Docherty et al., 2023 · Read the study ↗Keep the finding in context. This is a within-group change on one task. Immediate word recall worsened and overall cognition did not improve. Clarimind contains 500 mg of a different preparation.
Explore the study charts ↑In an open-label study, improvements in stress-related symptoms were reported after three days of the Rhodiola extract WS® 1375.
Edwards et al., 2012 · Read the study ↗An early observation, with important limits. Everyone received the extract and knew they were taking it. Without a comparison group, changes cannot be attributed to Rhodiola alone. Clarimind lists 250 mg of a different extract.
The same study reported continuing improvements at one week and again at four weeks. This was a follow-up in the same participants, not a second independent confirmation.
Edwards et al., 2012 · Read the follow-up ↗Observation does not establish cause. Expectations and other changes could affect the results. This uncontrolled study does not establish a seven-day stress benefit for Clarimind.
A placebo-controlled crossover study in physicians on night duty reported improvement on a mental-fatigue index in the Rhodiola group during the first two-week period.
Darbinyan et al., 2000 · Read the study ↗The result was limited. Improvement was not statistically significant in the later Rhodiola period. This small, older study used a different preparation and work setting from everyday Clarimind use.
A later fatigue trial favored placebo ↗Specific outcomes, not an across-the-board effect. Total sleep-quality change was not significant versus placebo in the L-Theanine trial. Doses, extracts and populations differ; the Rhodiola study recruited people with stress-related fatigue. These trials did not test the combined formula.
A 12-week Bacopa trial recorded a delayed-recall gain within its treatment group. A separate 16-week Lion’s Mane trial found higher cognitive-scale scores than placebo at weeks 8, 12 and 16.
Population and preparation matter. The Lion’s Mane trial involved 30 adults with mild cognitive impairment and about 2.9 g of mushroom powder daily; scores fell after stopping. The Bacopa gain does not establish superiority over placebo, and a larger 2025 trial found no primary cognitive benefit.
Read the newer Bacopa trial ↗Trial protocols differ in dose, extract, population, and outcomes. L-Theanine’s four weeks refers to each treatment period. Acute studies also exist; this graphic does not model absorption, effect strength, or a Clarimind response curve.
Study doses describe research protocols, not directions for use. Follow the Clarimind label. No study shown establishes a day-by-day response or guaranteed outcome for the finished formula.
