THE CLARIMIND RESEARCH LIBRARY

Research you can actually read

Human ingredient studies, with doses and limitations left in. These are not clinical trials of Clarimind.

Start with the right question

Was the study conducted in people? Did it test this extract at this dose? Was the result better than placebo, or only different from the starting measurement? Those distinctions matter more than a headline percentage.

Our editorial approach

Written by Clarimind Health. We sell the product discussed here. We link original human studies where available, identify different preparations and populations, and distinguish label quantities from clinical outcomes. This content has not been presented as independent medical review.

Is Clarimind clinically tested?

The linked studies concern individual ingredients or specific extracts. They do not establish the effectiveness of the finished Clarimind formula.

Does a study’s duration predict when I will feel something?

No. Study windows describe when investigators collected measurements. They do not establish a day-by-day response for Clarimind.

How do I read the charts?

The charts below show the original units and comparison groups. Read the limitations beside each chart. Milligrams measure ingredient quantity, not effectiveness.

Ingredient research is not a clinical trial of Clarimind. Different extracts, doses and participants can produce different findings. This information is educational and does not replace individual medical advice.

CITICOLINE / 28-DAY HUMAN TRIAL

51%fewer attention-task errors.

The 250 mg citicoline group averaged 2.70 commission errors versus 5.50 with placebo at day 28—a 51% difference between these group means.

250 mgdaily study dose20 + 20participants compared

The context: Women aged 40–60; small Cognizin trial; one-tailed analyses. This is an endpoint comparison, not a 51% improvement from baseline or in overall focus.

In Clarimind: 250 mg citicoline. Matching amounts do not establish ingredient equivalence or the same result.

Read McGlade et al., 2012 · Table 2 ↗
Day-28 mean commission errors: citicoline 250 mg, 2.70; placebo, 5.50. Standard errors 0.77 and 1.03. Lower is better.
Mean ± standard error. The full trial also included a 500 mg arm, not shown.
Numbers, calculation & chart data

The rounded difference is (5.50 − 2.70) ÷ 5.50 × 100 = 51%.

LION’S MANE / EXPLORATORY HUMAN TRIAL

49.65msfaster on one response task.

One hour after a 1,800 mg dose, the Lion’s Mane group’s average Stroop response time changed from 737.70 to 688.05 milliseconds.

1,800 mgsingle study dose43 adultsin the acute analysis

The context: Ages 18–45. This chart shows change within the Lion’s Mane group, not a placebo-adjusted effect. Immediate word recall worsened; global cognition did not improve. A 2025 trial also found no overall cognition or mood benefit.

In Clarimind: 500 mg of a different preparation. This finding does not establish a one-hour effect for Clarimind.

Lion’s Mane group only: mean Stroop response time was 737.70 ms before dosing and 688.05 ms 60 minutes later. A 49.65 ms within-group reduction; not a placebo-adjusted difference.
Reported group means; uncertainty not shown. Exploratory task outcome from a placebo-controlled pilot.
Numbers, calculation & chart data

737.70 − 688.05 = 49.65 ms. Treatment × time interaction: p = 0.027; within-group comparison: p = 0.005. Multiple outcomes were examined.

BACOPA / 12-WEEK HUMAN TRIAL

+1.2wordsrecalled in the Bacopa group.

Adjusted delayed-recall averages rose from 6.4 to 7.6 words over 12 weeks. Placebo averages moved from 6.8 to 6.9.

300 mgdaily study dose24 + 24study completers

The context: Adults aged 65+. This within-group gain does not prove superiority over placebo. A larger 2025 trial found no benefit on its primary cognitive outcomes.

In Clarimind: 300 mg Bacopa, standardized to 50% total bacosides. Equal milligrams do not guarantee an identical extract.

Adjusted delayed recall at start, week 6 and week 12: Bacopa 6.4, 6.6, 7.6 words; placebo 6.8, 6.6, 6.9. The chart uses the 0 to 15 word range.
Adjusted mean words recalled from a 15-word list. Variation between participants is not displayed.
Numbers, calculation & chart data

Bacopa: 7.6 − 6.4 = 1.2 words. Placebo: 6.9 − 6.8 = 0.1 words. These descriptive changes are not a tested between-group effect size.

L-THEANINE / SLEEP-RELATED MEASURES

Three encouraging signals.

In a small crossover trial, changes in three sleep-questionnaire components favored L-Theanine over placebo: time to fall asleep, sleep disturbance, and sleep-medication use.

200 mg daily30 adults4 weeks per treatment

Total sleep-quality change was not statistically significant versus placebo. Multiple outcomes were tested. Clarimind lists 200 mg; this is not a trial of the blend.

Hidese et al., 2019 · Table 2 ↗

RHODIOLA / STRESS-RELATED FATIGUE

Less fatigue. A signal for attention.

A placebo-controlled trial found improvements in fatigue and selected attention measures among adults with stress-related fatigue taking the SHR-5 extract.

576 mg daily60 adults28 days

Different extract, dose and population from Clarimind’s 250 mg ingredient. Evidence is mixed: a later nursing-student trial favored placebo on fatigue.
